Package	*Caprolactam flakes*
	Caprolactam flakes are packed into polyethylene welded bags, 25 kg each.
	Bags with caprolactam flakes are formed in a loading unit :	· 12 layers, 5 bags in one layer
		· 8 layers, 5 bags in one layer
	A loading unit is formed on a wooden pallet 1350 x 1100 mm. The load on a pallet is secured against displacement and deformation to make a compact and stable loading unit together with a pallet owing to stretching it with foil.
	Other kinds of packaging are also accepted provided they protect the product as effectively as the above mentioned ones.
	Each loading unit is labelled and the label contains:	· name or logo of producer, address
		· lot number/ pallet number
		· net weight
		· informative signs ‘ Protect against moisture’ and ‘Protect against heating ‘
		· warning signs for harmful substances : Xn,
		· warnings: (see *1 below this chart)
		A production batch makes a lot of caprolactam.
		A consignment note and certificate of quality control should be enclosed to each lot.
	*Caprolactam liquid*
	Caprolactam liquid is transported in railtanks or road tankers made of acidproof steel, isolated, possibly equipped with devices for heating caprolactam with water or low-pressure steam.
	In an area of contact with caprolactam there should be any foreign metals; the sealing materials should be colourless, e.g. PTFE, and resistant to caprolactam. Railtanks and road tankers should be equipped with efficient system of pressure and nitrogen measurement. The content of a railtank or road roadtank makes one lot of caprolactam liquid.
	A consignment note, certificate of quality control should be enclosed to each lot.

Transport

Caprolactam *flakes*	Caprolactam flakes are transported in containers , covered railwaggons or trucks.
	The arrangement and protection of the load should be in accordance with the effective regulations of loading and unloading the railwaggons in domestic and in international communication.
	Caprolactam flakes should be protected against mechanical damage and moisture during transportation.
	Class of danger – caprolactam flakes is not subject to RID / ADR / IMDG regulations.

*Caprolactam liquid*	Caprolactam liquid should be transported in oxygen-free atmosphere (nitrogen cover). Nitrogen should be dry, free of oil, hydrocarbons, graphite and with oxygen content not more than 5 ppm.
	Temperature of caprolactam during transportation : 75-95 °C.
	Class of danger – caprolactam liquid is not subject to RID / ADR / IMDG regulations.

Storage

Caprolactam flakes - Caprolactam flakes packed as per item 4 should be stored in dry rooms.
Caprolactam liquid - Caprolactam liquid should be stored in stainless acidproof steel containers, in temperature not higher than 95°C, in oxygen-free atmosphere (nitrogen as per item 5).

Guarantee

Caprolactam flakes - The producer guarantees the quality parameters for 6 months from the shipment date provided that the conditions as per item 4 are met.
Caprolactam liquid - The producer guarantees the quality parameters for 14 days from the date of dispatch .
